My precious..bitterness

..sooo...we were invited to a crawfish boil...which we were terribly excited about!! Scott and I, being from down yonder there in Louisiana...are a little partial to crawfish!! We just didn't realize the couple (without kiddos and with absolutely no knowledge of what autism is..nor were we up for educating) had a dog. A Labrador puppy that was about 50 pounds. And, we had no idea Evan would be a little terrified..okay a lot terrified!! He ran from the dog and it, of course, ran after him. So, the lady of the house did what most people would do, right..sent Evan outside with Scott in the garage!! Yeah...we were demoted to the status of below the house-pet...lovely!!
I don't think ill of the couple. I don't think that they thought it was much of a big deal. And, I realize many people don't understand the basics of human civility..when our culture is so fixated on ourselves..who isn't selfish and un-compassionate..?!!
So I can only say this...I know how bizarre people can be in life..I know that sometimes we form connections with our pets and with things...but, my rule is simple...ALWAYS put people first...always!! It really shouldn't be a question...really!!
And, yes..I did enjoy crawfish before scooting off with the kiddos..!!
