While my husband is engaged in watching "Dog the bounty hunter"..ya..I thought I would share a few recent cards I have made.

For the life of me, I don't know why I enjoy card-making so much.
As a child, and being born the youngest of eight children,I never really got many birthdays. By about the first grade in decided to hand draw some invitations and invite several friends over for my big day.
My mother had no idea..until people started to show up.
The only thing that saved the day was the rare occasion they actually did have a box mix prepared and we ate cake on the front porch of my parents little house in Louisiana.
It was the last time I made invites for myself until Scott and I got married. And we just printed them from a set at Walmart...it was a very tiny, and incredibly inexpensive wedding. In fact, Scott and I were pretty sure most people were pretty skeptical we'd be successful..probably because we had no alcohol or real music at our wedding..!! But, our dollar didn't stretch..we decided to pay off any credit before-hand, so we both entered with no debt.
So, fast forward years later and someone introduced me to scrapbooking.
Now, I like to scrapbook..but, I LOVE making cards.

No, they aren't professional...and not even close to perfect..! But, it's a hobby nonetheless, and it's just part of me..!
So, here's the deal..
If I give you a card..or mail it..please don't get all awkward on me...!
It's a card, I expect you to throw it away after about a year..kidding..more like a few months..!! I don't expect you to make me one in return, or send me one back..just makes someone's day..in whatever way you do!!

I love your cards and really think you could have a career teaching others this craft one day-as long as it doesn't take away your enjoyment of it. Cards that others make for me are the ones I never throw away!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet of you to say Teresa!! I'm glad there are some of us out there who appreciate the small things in life!! ;-)
